Good for you with all the writing projects that you're working on simultaneously.
In this last installment of "The Brick" (and it's probably just me), there is one phrase: "you need to understand," that maybe could read differently. It's like the reader is being ordered to comprehend a concept. Perhaps a gentler way of saying that would benefit a reader just as effectively, such as "Please understand..." Sorry to ramble.
