I am happy to hear that you guys have safe driving conditions. We still have leftover ice and the snow just will not give up. We give the deer corn and bread too. Of course, the squirrels, bunnies, and the birds fight them for it. Such is life. Be safe and stay warm!

Pat, you are right and they can be very aggressive. We try to keep our distance from them. Roy won't feed them near the house because he doesn't want them to get used to eating close to the house. Our snow is deep too but I haven't seen a squirrel in a long time. I'm not sure where they went but maybe they will be back in the spring.

C_C_T, it does get very bad when it's icy. It doesn't matter what kind of car you are driving you can slide right off the road.

Be careful around those deer if they show up while you're outside.
They can be aggressive, despite their harmless and gentle appearance. I'm getting ready to scatter some bread and nuts out on the sidewalk for my squirrels. They're not going to find much nourishment with 6-7" of snow all around.

The deer like most animals look out for an easy meal. It does sound really bad, trouble is when it thaws and then freezes. Though I have not seen that here for several years.
