I take it easy, Kabu. No rush - as long as the beasts can make

their way down to their yard, and not enough snow yet this year to worry about it being too heavy on the gallery. I shovel a bit, rest a bit, shovel a bit....all good!

It is, FSI.

But it seems few are aware of that in today's world.

Something an independent person finds difficult to accept

I've told her but....I also understand her. It's hard to let go.

It's a hard decision to let go of a house we love, even if we are

no longer able to care for it adequately without help, Pat_B. Especially if we don't want to move into a town. Therre are not many apartments out in the bush.

Lol - people tend to love snow more if they don't have to shovel it,

or are avid winter sports enthusiasts, Goldiec. Bieng out in the bush, most of us have long driveways serviced by a plow contractor who does our clearing, for a price, of course.. Except for galleries or walkways close to the house, all of which requires the homeowners to clear themselves.

It's good when we can help one another.

I'd remind her how important it is for a giving heart to be received from! People need to be needed, to be of use.

I hope your friend recovers very quickly and without complications.

Sometimes the solitary life needs a bit of modification for the sake of well-being, but I feel the same way about accepting help, etc.

Good Morning

I love reading your posts first thing in the morning.  I'm drinking a cup of my favorite hot coffee and enjoying every word you write.  I feel so bad about your friend but hopefully, she mends quickly and is able to attend to her everyday tasks.  I can only hope that someone comes forward to help her.  I'm not familiar with what she is suffering from but hopefully, the doctors gave her medicine to help her condition. It was so nice of you to take her meals that she can heat up until she feels better.  I would have done the same thing.  I'm always sharing meals with my neighbors and my kids that have families of their own.  Michelle and her husband live with us so she always has home-cooked meals.  I made a hamburger casserole that turned out really good for dinner last night.  We never know how one of my casseroles may turn out.  It's anybody's guess.

We have so much snow!  It's over a foot of snow but I'm not sure by how much.  We had to have part of the drive plowed because it was so deep.  We have a long driveway and when we get this much snow we need help removing it.  The cars were buried along with the truck but they have all been shoveled out and we are good.  Roy went to work today.  He stayed home yesterday working on the snow.  It's so cold here.  Fortunately, we have the fireplace going and we are toasty warm.  I think I'm one of the few people in the world that absolutely love snow.  Of course, I'm in the house watching it snow outside.  I hope you have a wonderful day.  Stay warm and safe!

It is the same here once a village community expands one is not in contact with neighbours like in the old days. The old tribal community disappears. I would imagine wood is a constant labour device. I know you are kind-hearted, it does seem such actions are disappearing. I hope the lady has a swift recovery.
