I hit a foster home with that attitude towards kids. Wasn't there long after the police got involved. Happy that you are both in warmer temperatures and settling in for 2022.

What doesn't kill us... as the saying goes. I'm so happy you were able
to escape before you became a headline or a crime statistic. Your service as a medic proves out as a deliberate choice to be a healer rather than just another ... well, enough said. Enjoy the mild temps and the resurgence of your writing.
