I didn't know the Biblical history behind it. As for me, I do not like candy canes. If I get one, my sister gets the benefit.

Good Afternoon

I love this tradition.  I have some candy canes in the kitchen right now.  I gave most of them to the kids but I did manage to keep a few.  The funny thing was when it was getting close to Christmas there wasn't a candy cane anywhere. They looked everywhere to buy them.  Fortunately for the kids, we had bought three boxes that we purchased earlier in the month.  I gave most of them to the kids for their tree.
