Re:

Annicita, they said Janet Evanovich's new book came out in November.  I can't wait to read it.  There's another book coming out in March that sounds really good too!

Re:

Kabu, we got a really nice washer and it was on sale.  I was very thankful for that.  It's been delivered and I have a load of wash ready to go.  I love it.

good for you, it must have been appliance buying weekend and I spent way less money today than I expected to do.

Re:

C_C_T, the new washing machine is working like a dream.  It took me a few minutes to figure out how to turn it on but it seems simple enough.  I have the instruction book if I need it.  I love the smell of my sheets and blankets when I wash them and use fabric softener.  I hope you have a good night!  Stay warm!

Re:

FSI, I have an extended warranty on several appliances.  We bought it for our stove because it has a glass top and I was afraid it would break.

Re: Good morning

Sassy, I will watch the mail.  Thank you for thinking of me.  That is so kind of you.  I've been worrying about you and John.  I hope all goes well at his doctor's appointment.

Re: Good morning

Sassy, going to the nursery sounds like fun to me!  I hope you do get a chance to feed the reindeer.

I do not think blankets ever got washed much in the old days. I remember when we were conscripted into the Army we had to take our blankets outside once a year and give them a good shake. My washing machine will wash one at a time, but I try to do it when the blanket will dry in the wind.  I don't like to use the dryer part as I don't really want the agro of replacing it along now. Best of luck with your though, if it was that easy here.

I'm an extended warranty kind of guy myself. Years ago, when I bought a laptop, it developed a couple times this whirring noise that was annoying to hear. I got it fixed for free.

Good morning

If you have a Gabe's, they sell Nikes for $40.00. Good luck with your search. As for your Christmas wish list, books make a great gift. I asked for new cast iron & enamel-coated pots & pans. keep an eye on your porch or your mailbox, there may be a birthday gift coming from Pennsylvania.

Good morning

Congrats! What a wonderful early birthday gift. It should last you two decades with any luck at all. It is warm here today, but it's raining. We plan to go and check out the holiday display at our local nursery. Word has it that there are live reindeer waiting for visitors to feed them some carrots.
