I love chili. I have it almost once a week.

I love scented candles too. My favorite is peony.

Re:

Kabu, lighting a brand new scented candle is delightful!   I have a new candle too.  It's called mulled cider.  It smells so good!

Re:

C_C_T, I learn by trial and error.  I'm sure my kids would wish I would take cooking lessons.

Pat, I wish you could have a bite of my chili.  I know you would love it!

You must be a good cook. Are you self taught or did you take lessons in cookery?

I always loved chili, and for a time I liked it very "hot" and spicy,

but I had radiation therapy following cancer surgery some years back, and the residual effect is that hot spices - sometimes even mild ones - create havoc. There are times I'll take a taste anyway.  Worth it.

Re: Re: Re: You are making the perfect Fall dish.

Sassy, I think I'm going to get some Green chiles.  They sound like a good addition to my recipe.  I put a few jalapenos in my chili too!

Re: Re: You are making the perfect Fall dish.

Green chiles are mild, but I also add a jalapeno to the chili mix. Luckily, I picked a bunch before the "big freeze."

Re: You are making the perfect Fall dish.

Sassy, spicy chili is so good.  I love to smell it as it cooks slowly throughout the day. Are green chiles hot?  I've never used them?

Re: Good afternoon

Sassy, does this mean your Gnomes and Fairies are getting put away for the winter?  My Gnomes will be going to sleep soon.  Once winter arrives they like to be snug in their beds till warmer weather arrives here.

You are making the perfect Fall dish.

I am making chili next week. I use fire-roasted tomatoes and green chiles in mine. I also use multiple peppers...John likes it hot & spicy. Your house is sure to smell heavenly. Have a great day.

Good afternoon

I love the Pioneer Woman. Her recipes are so simple to follow. I also love puff pasty, especially when I make my chicken pot pie. It is chilly here today too, but we are planning to put our yard ornaments and flower pots away today after it warms up a bit.
