Good Evening

Kabu, all our houseplants are inside in their favorite places for the winter.  Only I would have plants with attitudes.  They want their same spots every year and if we don't place them just right they have a hissy fit.  We've learned over the years to just give them what they want.  Our Christmas cactus is sitting in the corner.  That is its favorite place.  I hope it blooms for Christmas.  Some of our plants like the kitchen table and others are placed around the house.  I am thankful they are in the house before the cold winter is upon us.  I not only worry about the animals but I worry about all the plants and hope the ones outside will survive.  My Gnomes will soon be going to bed for the cold winter.  They have heated mattress pads and comforters on their beds and  lots of pillows too.  We make sure they are toasty warm as they sleep the winter away. They all have warm flannel pajamas and sleep in a warm bedroom so I don't have to worry about them when the temperatures drop below zero.  I think they may be just a touch spoiled but that's okay.  This is their home.

I have the faith it will work well. You're a great soul, Kabu.

Re: Kabu

Archie bought some primroses last year, he always buys new ones. I felt a bit sorry for the old ones and stuck them in some pots. They have bloomed much more than first-year ones. Good luck with rose. You could always plant it outside if it looks unhappy.

Kabu

My Mom loved pansies so we always had them when I was growing up.  My Grandmother loved snapdragons, so when we went to grandma's she allowed us to pick some of the yellow flowers off and have dragon biting fights.  I loved hollyhocks during the summer and tried to keep them healthy.  They always moved across the yard every year because they were big and tall and the seeds fell of when the hollyhocks would start bending over so the seeds would plant themselves and the next summer hollyhocks would be growing about four feet away from where they were the summer before.   Flowers all have their own personalities.

Good evening

I brought in all the flowers that I can fit into one sunny south-facing window. We have three ferns that we have kept alive for several years, the oldest one has hung on for seven. I brought in two large geraniums. I will feed them Miracle grow every week when watering them and cross my fingers. Spring cannot come soon enough for me. Have a great evening.
