C_C_T, all my gnomes have their own beds with their personal blankets and pillows. They do like to sleep in the same room though. I think they feel there's safety in numbers. The only one that would prefer to be alone would be Terrence and he's the youngest one in the group. He's very mild-mannered. I hope you can put your dahlias to bed before the first frost arrives at your place.

We are waiting for the first frost to put the dahlias to bed. Poor things keep blooming but it is an effort. Do your gnomes all sleep in the same bed?

The Gnomes always love history for they themselves are able to live for several hundred years. Things we think happened long long ago, to them are part of their own memories.

Pat, I've had a taste for cheese/broccoli soup too. I've made potatoes in the microwave before and they do turn out good.

It seems on cold dark days we think of hot food, spicy or warm from the
oven, or both. I went back to summer prep and made a batch of potato salad this morning - potatoes cook perfectly in the microwave for either baking or dicing as salad. I never boil a potato any more, it only takes 5 minutes to nuke them, but the boiling ones have to be watched over for half an hour or almost that long. Delicious, but for some reason I'm wishing for hot cheese/broccoli soup. Or a bowl of chili.

The gnomes are guilty of this little pleasure.
I have witnessed them playing video games. They do it when we are sleeping. They are good at hiding it from us mere mortals.

Good afternoon
The drizzle is really getting under my skin. I have been praying for one last good week of sun and warm temps so that my veggies can ripen, but I must deal with what I have. Instead of red, juicy beefsteaks, we will be eating green tomatoes. They are delicious but not the desired salad vegetable. I hope that you are having a wonderful day. I am headed out soon to get a bakery cake and a stuffed crust pizza for tonight's dinner.
