Sassy, I've been praying for all the missionaries. I heard on the news this morning that the U.S. is in negotiations with the gang and are trying to gain their freedom. I think it's wonderful that you have family members that are missionaries. God Bless them!

I'm not sure why they took their children there, maybe they thought it was safe since as far as I know we never had this happen before in Haiti. The US policy is not to negotiate with terrorists. It's a precedence that could make the country even more vulnerable.
I'm not saying that I want harm to them. I'm not saying they don't deserve rescue. Hopefully, they send the seals in to rescue them. No one deserves to be kidnapped. Having gone through it, I know the anxiety and worry that their families are going through at this moment.

Good afternoon
It's sad to think about just how many people have lost the battle against COVID, especially when they were fully vaccinated. I have heard that underlying conditions can exacerbate the hidden health issues regardless of having protection against them. Those missionaries are in serious trouble. They need the power of prayer to protect them from harm's way. My step-aunt and her husband are missionaries. They continually go to dangerous areas where they attempt to change people. I would not want to do what they do, but they have such a deep faith that nothing will change their minds. As for the weather, thanks for the warning. I will have to watch the weather report this week. Today, it's beautiful and sunny.
