Lovely to see your comment, TAPS!

I am looking forward to feeling retired! I'm like a machine that is still turning, but has nothing to grind!

Probably work in the gardens will happen, CCT.

I'll put it on hold for the moment with my back in such poor shape.

Good idea, Goldiec, about the Food Network

I have another week approximately to file documents in boxes for pickup, then will be able to start planning for other activities.

I can imagine it takes adjustments!

I have to remind myself that I don't have to hit the floor running, and it's the weekend to boot!

So sorry to read that you are and have been having bad back trouble.  I've had some of that and it is no fun.  I can't imagine you retired, you have always been such a worker.  I retired 17 years ago and can't hardly remember what it is like to go off to work each day.  Wishing you the best Rest of your Life.

Glad that you feel better, once you can get out and turn that garden over for the

frost to break it down an early start before it becomes frozen I suspect.

We have machines but Archie likes digging so I allow him the pleasure. A chap I

knew once said he and his dad and brother always dug the allotment over on

moonlight nights. Dad would put a stick in the ground. 'Now when we reach the

stick we will go home and see Mother.'

You're going through it with a positive attitude. That's so wonderful to read.

Good Morning

I hope you enjoy your day.  I think you will find the days will be enjoyable without a time clock or place to be a certain time.  I have a feeling you will become very busy at home.  I think there are so many things to take up your time.  One of the first things I can think of is writing.  If you write a book I know I will read it.  Crafts are so much fun this time of year.  I'm at home every day and I just don't have enough time for everything I want to do in a day.  I think this is a blessing in disguise.  After a month you'll wonder how you ever found time to work.  I love making new recipes and I watch the Food Network every week.  I'm not sure if you get the Food Network but if you do you might want to check it out.  I wish you the very best!  Be happy and stay safe!

Retirement takes some adjustments. I missed certain colleagues

after my departure from the 9-5 scene, and still wonder at times how they're doing. It's been nearly 18 years since I retired the second time - no doubt many of those who taught and worked in the office with me have also retired, their kids have flown the nest, maybe there are grandkids...  One fine day maybe you'll get started on that novel, or a memoir / family history to share with your own up and comers...
