Re:

Sea Gypsy, I love wonton soup.  I'm going to try again and hopefully the next time it turns out better.  COVID is so scary.  I just don't know what to think!

I don't know that I'd have much luck with wonton soup either. I don't know that I've ever had it more than maybe once. Sorry about the vacation time being over. That's no fun. And to get Covid after being vaccinated! Yikes. It's so scary.

Re: Good afternoon

Sassy, I've been to Washington D.C. and it's really nice but the traffic is crazy.  I also love it out West.  How do you make your apple crisp?  It sounds really good!

Re:

C_C_T, after what I've seen in Cleveland I don't think I would want to go to a Fair.  We have way too many cases.

Re: I'm afraid my wonton soup would turn to mush, too. I think I'll stick to

Pat, thank you so much.  I love broccoli cheese.  I hope you have a nice afternoon.

Good afternoon

It is great when you can run around all day and to wherever you please. John is out of vacation time for this year, but we plan to either go to Washington D.C. or to Carson City, Nevada in April. It will come down to my mother's health at that time. As for the apple pie, yum! It is apple picking season here too, but I make apple crisp. Both are delicious in my opinion. Have a nice Sunday!

Re:

Ciel, thank you so much!  I'm going to try my wonton soup again maybe next week.  I will use a pan on the stove this time.  My cousin and my son both had breakthrough cases of COVID but fortunately, they were not that bad. I hope you have a good day.

It is a job to steer clear of all germs. A good job your son has had the jabs. You certainly had a good ride around, we have a Fair here tomorrow. I don't know how the folk will react it was cancelled last time, although the virus is still around it does seem that a lot of folks are ignoring it.

I'm afraid my wonton soup would turn to mush, too. I think I'll stick to

the canned version of broccoli cheese - which I enjoy and it's easy.  Sorry to hear about your family with Covid, but it sounds like they're mild cases. Fingers crossed.

I'm thinking your wontons, being pasta, wouldn't hold together well in a crockpot. You can regulate that better, as you say, in a pan on the stove.

So your son is one of the 'breakthrough' cases of covid. But the vaccine is doing its job, keeping his infection mild, keeping him out of the hospital. I hope he's feeling much better soon!

Re:

FSI, I don't understand why the kids can't enjoy a pep rally?  It seems harmless enough to me.

My freshman year was the first year the pep rally for the football team was cancelled. I think that had to do with noise, too.
