It seems like a freakin' mess to me, I'm wondering why - if they couldn't

take the equipment - they didn't disable it, maybe take the computer chips that make them operable. They are small and portable, and it would take a lot of time and effort to get the spare parts.  In any case, much of that ordnance is high tech and the Taliban, or so I've come to believe, are not trained to use it. Maybe they'll sell it back to us.

True, the $83 billion is off of the mark and definitely an overreach, but the truth is that equipment was left behind during the mad rush that they can and will use. President Biden’s administration has not ruled out airstrikes to destroy the larger equipment like the helicopters but fears it will antagonize the Taliban while people are still being evacuated, sources told Reuters.
