True, if you allow the razor blade to sit in it over time.
It was given as an example to show the strength of stomach acid over the course of time. Mainly it leads towards the dangers of not getting gastric acid under control, otherwise, the lining of your stomach, which isn't metal can overwhelm the protective mechanism of the mucus layer, which damages the gastric mucus lining. The damage to the stomach lining is what presents as the mucosal defect we commonly call stomach ulcers.
