They are smart creatures.
Our house is twenty feet from the RR tracks. We also live near the river and the woods. The deer know enough to move when the trains come rolling through.

Maybe that led to the stop on the old railroad track. I've been on a bus that hit one. I saw one in my old neighborhood, lying on the road. It ran along a golf course.

Apparently they're not used to cars going by....2 or 3 a week are laying dead on the side of the road with their Buzzard buffet!
