We each do what we are comfortable with doing - and eating. I have never been a big eater, much less a person who eat a lot of animal protein. But I dislike the idea of the unhealthy fats used to concoct vegetable meat products so I don't eat them either.

growig up on a farm I never gave this a thought. Would quite cheerfully watch Dad kill  and dress a sheep.

One time in  my 20's i got the chance to go through a abattoir...where cattle were .... yes I still eat some meat but less and less over the years. The experience broke my heart.

Good Afternoon

I prefer eating vegetables and pasta because I'm horrified by what takes place in this world.  I really don't understand it.  It's so sad.

Re: sassyass,

It starts with only a few who notice and listen, but it spreads, and change happens. Once there is a crack in the dam, the dam is going to go!

Awareness helps, but only to those who care enough to listen.

And this is why I prefer eating veggies and pasta. I have seen the horrifying slaughter practices used on animals, and it is more than inhumane.
