Crabs are a big deal in Maryland. We love our Old Bay seasoning, too, to go with them.

Re: That one is my choice too, Pat_B

The red-based clam chowder just doesn't compare to the creamy one.

Re: My daughter-in-law is from Missouri. She loves my potato soup.

It may be a general consensus that people gave input on.

I've never heard of anybody in Missouri who thought baked potato soup was their comfort food. I don't know who compiled this or how they compiled it...Ice cream and pizza, mac and cheese...

Re: Re: Thank you, Goldiec. It is. I have made it several times.

Sassy, I have never made hamburger soup but it does sound good.

I used to love Dungeness crab back in Washington state,

but my favorite seafood soup is clam chowder, the kind that's creamy and made with potatoes...

I prefer fresh crab, but the canned lump is alright. John's favorites are chicken noodle soup and hamburger soup. Chicken noodle soup is probably the #1 soup in America.

Sassy, your recipe sounds really good!  I think my favorite comfort food is chicken noodle soup.
