Most of the contents make me want to throw up, but some are worse than others.

Re: Re: I have heard the horror stories about outhouses.

When our four sons were young we did a lot of camping with them in the mountains.  Our favorite areas were "primitive camping areas" which had few people, much beauty, but of course out-houses.  One day Mark came running to say, "Mom, David is throwing up."   In trying to find out what might be wrong with him I got out of them that they had been having a contest to see which of them could find the smelliest toilet.

Re: I have heard the horror stories about outhouses.

I never had one, but my mom had one growing up, and so did my hubby.

Times change although I expect they have remained the same in some places.

I was a year old in 1938, not yet potty trained, but when I was I never liked outhouses, and there were a lot of them around back then.
