Yes, it does. I look at my Dad surviving critical condition on account of renal failure as a bonus every day I have him.

Yes. It sometimes takes that to open our eyes.

Life is shorter than we all want it to be. Time and circumstance can breathe new life into a stagnant relationship. I would say that it clears up any past matters that may have pulled you apart.
