I suppose it can. However, holiday drink like egg nog is a different story.

It depends on the food. Most of the time it was just a reason to be away from your desk and chat with coworkers as you ate the goodies.

I would have to say yes it would be beneficial.  I believe it's good for the soul and what's good for the soul gives us energy.

Pumpkin pie and stuffing would probably weigh you down, but the leftover vegetables from the veggie platter, minus the dip could be beneficial. The Deviled eggs are another good source of protein and energy foods.
