FS’s comment is funny. I thought they ate goose over in the UK at Christma. I didn’t even know they had turkey there! All this time I thought it was native to this I continent! And forget the shrimp sitting out like that! Ugh! And I love shrimp.

Those feathers were valuable in Mexico during the time of Mexica, more commonly known as the Aztecs.

I guess if I was born in Medieval times I would have been used to the customs of the day, but it seems distasteful to me here in the 21st century.

I wonder if peacock tastes anything like chicken?

They don't sing any better, as far as I can remember.  I would not like shrimp served on a Christmas tree, but the picture looks pretty.

Sassy, I would hope that I would not have eaten the Peacock in any form.  That is just unheard of to me.  Great article!  I really enjoyed it.
