Re: Re: Re: Goldiec,

Ciel, Now I'm hungry for a meatball sandwich.  I'm not sure how to give up carbs.  That would be so hard.

Re: Re: Goldiec,

Yes!  If I make my own meatballs for sandwiches, I mix in the Italian breadcrumbs!

Now I am wanting a proper meatball sandwich... but still carb-avoiding, so the meatballs would have to go on something not starchy. Maybe spinach.

Re:

Ciel, I love Italian sausage.  I like the way you make it.  I think fried peppers are the best. It's always good to have pasta sauce on hand.  It really comes in handy.  I always keep some in the freezer.  I make my meatballs with lots of seasonings, onions, and Italian breadcrumbs.  I think you would like them.  Thank you so much for the comment.

Re:

FSI, shopping later is a good idea too.  We get up so early that we go out the door early but the problem today was that everybody decided to go at the same time as us.  There were people everywhere.  They all did have masks on though.  I was happy to see that.  Thank you so much for your comment.

Re: We go early too, although we avoid Walmart as much as possible.

Sassy, I'm so sorry about your sprained ankle.  I know it's hard to get around if you are in pain.  I love all the cooking shows that you mentioned.  We shop on Amazon too.  Thank you so much for your comment.  Stay warm and safe!

Re: I usually go early too, for just the same reasons. But these days it seems

Pat, when we went to the store early this morning there were so many people there already.  It wasn't even light when we pulled into the parking lot and I wish you could have seen all the cars.  I think we may have fines too but I know for sure the first offense is a warning.  Now that we are going into purple things might change.  It's such a scary time.  Thank you so much for the comment.

Re:

C_C_T,  I think some people just like to cut wood.  Your friend would love to live here.  Thank you so much for the comment.

BC-A, I love all these shows.  I've learned a lot on the Kitchen Network.  Thank you so much for the comment.

So much of my cooking-for-one is quick and easy. For instance, italian sausage cut in pieces, or Italian seasoned meatballs, some pre-fried peppers, onions, and mushrooms, all nuked in a bowl of pasta sauce. Sometimes I get a craving for a good meatball sandwich! I'll bet your meatballs are really something special!

Because of COVID, I started doing my shopping later, another way to avoid the potential wait.

We go early too, although we avoid Walmart as much as possible.

With my sprained ankle, I am lucky to make it to the car much less any store. Amazon has been my go-to shopping site for most of the year. I am a fan of the Food Network too. I go to "Food Network Free Programs" and look for Trisha, Giada, Ina, Delicious Ms. Brown, Gisene Prado, and Molly Yeh. It allows me to watch the episodes that I may have missed.

everyone has the same idea. They've enacted a new ordinance in our town - if you go into any public area without a mask, they can fine you. $25 for the first offense, $50 for the 2nd and $100 if they catch you out the third time. The pity is that it's necessary.

My chap who used to work for me is busy sawing pallets up he cannot get enough of them. It seems if it is cheap some folk will burn anything. I don't know why he bothers,  but I think it is the thrill of obtaining the palletts. Goodness he would love to live where he could chop trees down.
