For me it's always been the stuffing.  For my family it's the mashed potatoes.

We always have many side dishes to choose from, especially since I am a vegetarian.

Candied yams, boiled potatoes, corn and green beans mixed and salad. This doesn't include the shrimp platter, crude etees, guacamole, hot sauce and whatever else others brought.

It's mashed potatoes in our neck of the woods, and baked sweet potato.

Mac and cheese in Maryland. I did not know that. I figured it would have been sauerkraut. I myself cannot stand sauerkraut, the smell of it.
