Yes it was sad, although I expect the Canadian would have thought it no different than eating Beef. I can see you and Wiley standing there and the little rebellion about to take off. I always think it a shame that we all cannot think alike sometimes. Our dahlias are still in full flower,but a frost has been mentioned this week. I have just had a toe treated by the Chiropodist, I swore 26 times> One is allowed to do that after a certain age.

Great story about Wiley nudging you to keep it quiet. I know what that's like. Glad you are doing alright and are safe, warm and comfy. As for being sick of this year, you have lots of company. It's a terrible year. And it just keeps on. I do like your witch picture!

Wiley is always in your corner, as the saying goes. I had a friend at work
named Ben Edwards, who was a boxing fan. He used to say someone was in your corner, meaning like the guy who tends to the boxer between rounds, giving encouragement and a drink of cool water... I like the cute cartoons. There are a lot of hunters in this area, too - mostly they hunt deer, which they use for food. I can just see Wiley, his hand on the back of your neck, soothing your hackles... Be well.

I am happy to hear that you are well, fed, and safe.
Today begins a new month that is anything but war, especially this evening. It has been windy with sprinkles most of the day, but now it is really cold. The rest of my outdoor flowers will probably be gone for good by morning.
