  I've known that type of teacher. Yep, one was fired. He gave us naptime  in eighth grade English.

Teachers like that make school a bit less boring.

Maybe he needed a career change in a totally different direction, away from being an instructor. As for handing out papers, I did that once in the sixth grade. My teacher so happened to be a fellow member of the Elks with my parents, so I became the object of her attention that year. I played the part of the teacher's pet for fear that she would report back to them if I misbehaved.
