Pat, if you were here I would cut you a piece. I think you would really like it. I made my son-in-law a cup of tea every time he was here for years and then one day he told me he liked coffee so I know what you mean.

The cake sounds delicious, but I don't mess with pumpkin any more.
All the time my kids were growing up I was so proud of my pumpkin pies, I thought they were their favorite. And then, a year or so ago, I found out they never liked them but only ate them because I seemed so fold of them. I do like spice cake with a dollop of home made whipped cream, but your cream cheese topping sounds yum...

Sassy, I know your birthday cakes were delicious! The cupcakes looked really good too! I loved the lollipops disquised as pumpkins and ghosts.

I made a pumpkin roll a few years ago. It shockingly turned out well.
I am no baker, but I followed the instructions carefully. My fear was breaking the skinny cake as I rolled it up, and again when I unrolled it. They are a delicious treat. I am all "caked out" for the time being. We had two separate cakes last night along with cookies, cupcakes, and candy. It is chilly here too, but I have to go shopping for lunch stuff, so we are headed out into the cool air in a bit.
