- Go to Why People Once Believed That Fairies & Gnomes Were Real
We grew up with faeries and elven folk in our midst. But only my mother could see them. She told us that they hide and when something special happened for us or to us then they'd leave a little present. But if we weren't good, then they would go away and there would be no gifts. I think she said only grown-ups can see them.

Sassy, great post! It has brought something to my attention. I cannot seriously believe that I haven't included mermaids in all the stories I've written. I write about gnomes, fairies, and dragons but no mermaids. I have to think about this for a while I love this topic!

You see Sassy maybe in a different dimension. I wrote a poem not very good about this ,but I did not want to offend fairy believers.
