Sassy, I'm not surprised that you can hear my fairies from Pittsburg!  Sometimes they get pretty loud and I have to tell them to quiet down.

Re: So, I guess ye fairie creatures go dormant when their flowers fold up

Pat_B, my fairies come inside for the winter months.  They are so tiny and I would worry too much about them if they were outside where it is freezing.  I think I spoil them but they are so sweet.  We have their winter beds made up and I've brought a library of new books home for them.  They love to read and they can take care of the indoor plants.  They love it when I light candles on cold days.  It makes the house smell so good. Now that I'm thinking about this I may light a candle today. Do you have fairies at your house?

Re:

FSI, my fairies almost always spend the winter with us.  They stay in the house and find all kinds of things to occupy their time.  They really do prefer being outside but once the temps drop it just wouldn't be safe for them.

So, I guess ye fairie creatures go dormant when their flowers fold up

at the end of summer. Perhaps they find openings in the bark of trees, tuck themselves in for the duration. Or maybe they can share a squirrel's nest, high in the fork of a silver maple.

It's that time of the year, but the fairies will be back soon.

Re: Everyone should get to know their Fairies

Shams-i-Heartsong, I totally agree!  Everyone should take the time to know their fairies.  They are delightful and they are everywhere!

Re:

BC-A, you simply must bring some fairies inside your house. They add so much warmth to a home and they are entertaining too! I will say they are a little bit of work but not much.  It's so worth it!

They're living better than me, sleep alone.

They sing is what I've been told.
