Re: We are still warm here, although a bit chilly at night.

Sassy, I'm not sure what the temps will be by October.  I like to be toasty warm at night.  It's probably time to bring out your fall wardrobe and a warm jacket or two before the temps start really dropping. This just brought a memory to my mind of when your daughter got married and everyone was dressed for the season.  Was it cold that night?

We are still warm here, although a bit chilly at night.

I refuse to turn the heater on until October. I prefer to sleep in a cooler room. This morning was a bit cooler, so I just threw on my big, fluffy robe. It appears that my summer clothes will have to be slowly moved aside for my fall wardrobe.

Re:

Sea Gypsy, I just heard on the news this morning that high up over Cleveland they can see ash clouds.  I simply cannot believe they made it all the way here.  They did say it shouldn't affect us but I'm still surprised at this turn of events.

Pat_B, thank you so much for the comment.  I drink coffee every morning!  What made you give it up?  I was thinking if it keeps getting so cold at night we are going to have to put the heated mattress pad on the bed.  I absolutely love it in the winter months

Re:

FSI, I totally agree with you!  It does feel nice outside.  We are going up to 71 today and that's the perfect temperature.

Re: Winter temps

Corbin, I just hope winter doesn't get here before I'm ready!

It was a bit chilly this a.m. - time to pile on another layer and let the

air conditioner rest. It would be a nice morning for coffee on the porch if I was still into drinking coffee... Nice to have your heating system just purr into action.

I  have a wood stove and a fireplace and yes, both have been used, especially in the early mornings, for which I imagine my parrot is quite grateful! She hates the cold.  One of my former houses was heated by hot water and I loved it! Much cleaner and less dry during our long winters.

Yes, this is the strangest year ever. We are in eternal lockdown, inundated with ash and smoke from wildfires, and it has been hotter than ever. No, no heater on yet.
