Your doves are happy, I'm sure, and it seems they return but who knows for sure. No, I hadn't heard about that lightening bolt. Zeus must have thrown a fit to do that!

we have a pair of doves that live here but they are very shy. mainly come for seed in the snow time.

I like doves - there's a pair that visits my yard once in a while.
But I also like to watch that hawk coasting on thermals high in the sky as a storm rolls in. Or maybe it's a turkey vulture. Same kind of mood as when Paladin would stroll up to an old bar in the west looking like a dangerous villain all in black and then turn out to be the good guy. (Have Gun, Will Travel from the long ago..)

Love a good lightning stor. Luckily, I live in the right place for it.
Your Doves appear to have made themselves at home. They are such docile birds. Our yard is a favorite spot for them as well.
