Your dad sure did carry out uncle Willy's last wish. To be immersing the ashes in the river is considered holy among us Hindus.

poor Dad I suppose he was trying to relive his tension. I probably would have giggled too. I love the idea of having ashes scattered.

I'm sure I would have giggled if I had been there. We have all had to deal with such silences on occasion, I believe.

The Hindus immerse the ashes in a holy river... mostly people go as far as Haridwar to immerse them in the holy river Ganga.Your dad showed love and respect for the departed soul by carrying out his last wishes.🙏

Your dad is a pretty awesome man.

There is nothing worse than a funeral, but navigating an uncomfortable silence rate's pretty high as well.
