I figure if I lead a really good life but whoever's in charge up there is going to ban me from the Pearl Gates strictly because I hit Burger King on a Friday during Lent, then how good can it really be up there?

Re: Corbin

People jokingly say that seafood is okay because the Disciples were fishermen.

Oh yeah!  Joe Love's family weren't Catholic, but the sisters married Catholic men.  The local Catholic Churchs knew how to throw a fish fry. Beer, mixed drinks, and party hearty!

But the fried fish was mouth-watering!

Well it is nice to have a certain pattern of behavior. It probably strengthens ones character .

Totally understandable. We eat fish in Pennsylvania & Delaware on Friday.

Of course I eat seafood several times per week due to it being my favorite food, but our state is filled with many Catholic's and Methodist's who eat fish and other seafood on Friday. All of our churches sell huge fish sandwiches. It is a tradition here.

I understand that this brings you every Friday closer to your God, your Faith.

What separates things?  When we have fish, aren't we eating the "meat" of the fish?  Okay, I'm dumb.  But there must be a specific reason that makes fish "Okeydokey"

That also why most restaurants have "Fish Friday:" specials!
