Re: Our cat used to hunt moles in mom's vegetable garden, and sometimes

Must have been nice soft soil in Mum's garden Pat.  Yes they did use to be used for various things in the olden days, skinned of course.

Re: Corbin

Well I guess you are spoiling the chance to wear a moleskin waist coat Corbin.

It was all the fashion once as you probably know.

Re:sassyass 64

Well Mole has a good reputation in story books. Goodness I would not like to see a groundhog nearby.

Re: Re: We have moles among many other outdoor rodents.

Our ground is much too hard and dry for the gentlman in velvet.

Re: We have moles among many other outdoor rodents.

I just get my AR-15 out and Shoot them.  They can destroy the dam of a pond with their tunnels and holes.!

We have moles among many other outdoor rodents.

We do not mind them as much as the groundhogs who cause serious damage to the foundation of a house. We fill their holes with gravel and then soil. They eventually get tired of digging.

Those moles are everywhere!  I'm sorry but I have to use the traps with the Prongs on them...it stabs the pests in several places.

I like the metaphor of the torn roots as being like kisses. That fits well.

Our cat used to hunt moles in mom's vegetable garden, and sometimes

came back with one between her teeth, a trophy for mama's lap. But just at that instant, she told me, her lap disappeared. Such soft fur, so shiny - hard to think they could keep so clean while burrowing in dirt.

I have six of those spring traps...but they're not to catch em...they're to take em out, period!
