I am into my 6th week of Quarantine. 6 weeks of being really unwell and I believe what gets me up each morning is my companion cat. I really love him and because he is diabetic I have to get up, renew his feed dishes with fresh food and give him his first of two injections of insulin. Once up, other things get done and I even feed myself sometimes.

My love of God and family, too, gives me my will to live. They keep me going.

I have not yet seen the movie, but will look for it.
There is a great expansion of consciousness in going from embracing one's own family to recognizing that family is bigger than blood and genetics, that everyone is family, even if not related in the usual way of looking at such things. But the premise of the film you're talking about is still true, that there is an even deeper connection, or can be, with blood.

We watched the movie too.
I have to say that my will to live is just as strong as the main character in the movie. I am not sure how he managed to survive after that jump into the water other than there was a higher power watching over him. That one extreme scene when the airplane crashes through the barn, followed by what happen's next totally blew my mind.
