Her and her husband are cooks at a 50s diner which is located next to the historic Brownsville drive-in that her boss owns.

That's awesome that they've been open for so many years. A lot of drive-in movie theaters have gone by the wayside. The property was worth so much to where developers have gobbled them up. We have one in Maryland I know of, the Benji's. I doubt it's as old as the one you're describing here.

They would be nice. Those were so fun! We have a few left here but not close, in another county. One in Azusa and one in El Monte but I don't know if they are still there. It was so long ago. They weren't safe to go to and had long since stopped with the movies. Used them as swap meets.
