Re: Sea Gypsy,

There really is something wonderful and magical about ancient trees!  I always wonder how old they are.

Thank you again. My parents loved going to San Diego/Del Mar. I esiecually enjoyed seeing those gnarled trees.

How my mother loved making a trip to San Diego each year.  It was one of her favorite places to go.  It was a double pleasure for her because she had two sisters who lived there and two nieces and they would all go and do and play and have fun for the whole two weeks.  Then it was back to Missouri and she would share everything with everyone else.   There is no kind of fun like the fun of five Czech holkas having fun together, talking in Czech, in a beautiful place and eating hoska together at tea time.

I've just added a batch of images that got left out when I initially made the San Diego album, a lot more of the architecture, and some of coins in a fountain that are what I describe as 'natural abstracts.'

Re: sassyass,

Thank you! I was there for a day on my way to Baja California, and again for a few more days on the way back, but I'd caught a bad cold and cough which had me in bed in the hostel I stayed at there, so I only had another day of exploration before my flight back to Seattle. The hostel was incredibly gracious, letting me stay when I was that sick!

Beautiful photos.

I love San Diego. We visited it when the girls were younger, and my hubby did bootcamp there in 85.
