Today, April 19, in 1930 was my Mom & Dad's wedding day. They were married for 62+ years and both died at age 89, three years apart. I have been thinking a lot about them today and how much they were loved and appreciated by family. Lots of good memories.

My hubby once had a tooth pulled without novacaine in Mexico...
We lived near Algodones, and everyone always boasted about how cheap the dentists were across the border. At the time we lived in Yuma, Arizona. Needless to say, it may have only been $10.00, but to this day he still shudders when he thinks about that visit.

She is quite a tough lady.
She remind's me of my mommom aka grandmother, who also had a hernia that almost killed her. Had she have stayed, I do believe that a crying baby would have been the end of your mother's career, but who knows; hard workers are hard to come by and they did have ear plugs when you were born. Thanks for sharing.
