That really was an adventure, how times have changed. Love hearing about it.

Reading this reminds me just how much we have lost. We live in a virtual world and have GPS to handle all of our direction needs.

We never went camping when I was a child. I had no idea what it involved when, in my twenties, we went “camping.” It was survival skills training to me and I ended up in hospital with heat stroke and edema. Nice reading about your adventures though.

wow but you take me back even further in my thoughts to when I and big sis were kids and we would go on a roda trip holiday pulling a camper van behind the car. We girls used to get bored sometimes and pinch each other.

What a wonderful story...I miss those days when life was so much simpler.

Our family did similar outings when the girls were younger. I use to love planning our trips by using the "Atlas." We stayed at the KOA's in the cabins. Our daughter's loved it, and still attempt to revisit those times where life was less challenging. I still have my atlas, and we sometimes use it when we are looking for old forgotten roads that are void of toll charges. Even though the GPS is so much faster, it eliminates many sights. We also experienced the clothing challenge...the wrong clothes for the weather situation. Thanks for the great memory.
