Cutbacks happen. It is something that many corporations deal with. My hubby works for a major steel mill. They just had cutbacks in Michigan, and now many of those workers are headed here to our Pittsburgh steel mills which will result in lay-offs to the new hires. Thank goodness for unemployment.
