You are very sweet, FSI, for phrasing it that way. What so many people do not realize is that by acting that way they're also hurting those who love and care ffor them, not just themselvves.

We only have one life. He is lucky that he didn't suffer from paralysis from the stroke or worse yet, die. We all tend to forget to treat ourselves better once in awhile. My hubby was a pre-diabetic in denial up until the dizziness and headaches stopped him in his tracks. He has since changed his diet, and luckily he doesn't have to take medication.

Denial is a potent enemy of good luck. It makes us ignore what's

as plain as the nose on our faces. Probably why some smoke or take up vaping in spite of evidence that it can kill them. I hope your DID is soon feeling much better.

I have been taking Metformin for 20 years.  Never had any reactions to the meds.

Ya gotta listen to your Doctor.
