Your Christmas decorations sound so festive. And the calligraphy should be great fun to do again. I understand there are left=handed and right-handed pens or nibs. At least that's what my duaghter told me years ago when she took a calligraphy class and I wanted to try out her pens. Yes, a table is something you should have in the guest room.
To me, it's a first year, as the decade changes in my mind.

I always plan to have oatmeal for breakfast, but I am not much of a breakfast person so my oats sit unopened and I drink hot black coffee for breakfast while I watch the morning news. By lunch time I'm ready for something nourishing.

enjoy your old/new again interest. We had a very quiet little chrstmas and won't see in the new year. I think technically correct would make 2021the first of the new decade but since everyone on TV seems to be calling Wednesday the new decade I am too old and tired and worried about Australia, to fight over something pretty unimportant.

Your new venture with calligraphy, etc., sounds like a good beginning
for 2020 - hope your space is all warm and cozy again. No plans for New Year's Eve except to watch the Times Square ball drop on TV if I'm up. The big idea for this coming year is to get the family history put together - my sis did years of research into the genealogy, Ancestry.Com & other sources before she passed away, and I've collected stories from lots of sources that will be interesting to the grandkids, based on conversations we had during Christmas week... Time to put aside the crochet hook and get organized. Happy New Year...
