I think that is great.  After years and years of doing all the entertaining, I didn't realize how much I dreaded it when I got older until I haven't done it for a few years.  Now I must admit that I don't even want to go anywhere to celebrate any longer.  I just want to be at peace in my home with beautiful music and thinking about loved ones enjoying the Christmas and New Year's celebrating.  Merry Christmas to you.

I promise that I had nothing to do with the decisions...but I am so relieved. Just don't trip on an icy spot walking into their home with that STEW!!!

Yes I expect you have a full day every day. So sit back and relax if you remember how.

The passing of the torch, especially when it comes to holiday traditions, is often bittersweet. The good news is that more great memories will be made.

I love that your kids inherited your giving spirit and that you are so

able to accept their gifts. I am smiling from ear to ear after reading this lovely post.

Sounds like we are once again on a similar wavelength. All my adult life, the decorating for Christmas has been what I have chosen it to be, but this year I offered Charlie the option to create our Yule magic. So he will be making over the guest room--now it has a fold-away bed that lives in a closet when there are no guests for it--and I will leave him to it, looking forward to being surprised on the Morning. I expect I will be smiling, too!
