Here in Pennsylvania I am fortunate enough to get Bluejays at my feeders.

Nature is keeping P.D. & Phil busy.  The woodchucks have come back and are bombarding various places around their house trying to get into the basement for the cold winter that is coming.  He doesn't want to hurt them but they are getting to be pretty pesky for him.

Living in Maryland, seeing a blue jay is so rare. I'm not sure why that is. They are such a lovely color.

I think there are fewer birds because there are fewer insects around

these days - seems the bees' and butterflies' population is dropping. May have something to do with overuse of pesticides by big farmers. Lately I've seen flocks of little brown sparrows - hadn't seen many of them all summer. Perhaps they're moving south in advance of an early winter.

How sweet all of your creatures are! It’s so nice to watch them.
