It is not easy. Sometimes the most difficult part is making the decision. It’s a process. I thought we did that two moves ago. Then I though for sure I did it this last move. Now I see there are still things my kids would toss. It’s nice though and one can still be comfortable. Take care, dear lady.

Downsizing can be a long process, distributing this and that to family and friends, letting them dust and maintain, and creating lovely open space at home...  I have another Canadian friend--He and his wife just sold their house and are having to do it all at once. That notion gives me the cold horrors!

Oh my!  Life never gets easy.....not for anyone it seems.
God bless you and take care of you and yours.
I've been seriously thinking about making an appointment with 1-800-GOT-JUNK and seriously cleaning out and downsizing and living my remaining years(?) sparsely.

As long as you can keep on top of it, but of course eventually one has to wind down.

No good asking me for advice I should have thought of that years ago.

You have yourself a very nice job there. Working from home is a great luxury...Moving from somewhere can be tough. You do know best.

Being in a smaller place will have its advantages, but habits are

hard to break, sorting and pitching things we'll no longer have room for can be a wrench...  In short, I hate the thought of it. Then again... (all the things you said)... Maybe the commute will be more convenient, your long days a bit shorter.
