Well I did see a young man sitting with a bag .So I asked him if he had any money. He said only a few coppers. I gave him some loose change and he asked if I could afford it.
I saw him walk along to the Coffee Parlor so I guess he needed one.

No, I would not. Sadly, most money giving to street people goes to drugs.

In NYC I have a couple of times paid for someone's coffee, But I paid the money to one of the food vendors, not to the person wanting the coffee.
