Pat
I was at a military academy grduation with my dad, sis and cousin when suddenly my cousin bursts out with a huge "Hello, ZG!" to someone I'd never seen. They hugged and my cousin explained who ZG and her husband were; the adoptive parents of the husband of another cousin of mine. Their other child was also graduating. Makes no difference other than to add to the story; they are people of color. Turns out they were sitting right below us on the bleachers later for this event and we saw them several times that weekend.

Ebbie has got it right. I keep meeting folk and saying perhaps, Hello Jim. 'I'm not Jim is the usual reply.

Those chance encounters so far away do make one think. One time, out in Myrtle Beach at a golf course, my dad and I ran into a local Maryland lawyer we know. Small world.
