Pat - I'm so sorry. And do be careful.
I was just thinking about how often I see people on TV telling the reporters that "things like that just don't happen here." And they don't - until they do. It's unsettling, it's very sad. My daughter's hairdresser was killed years ago. Just like that! Things like that don't happen there, but they did. They don't happen here either, but then they do. And we're always shocked. A man blew up his ex's new place of business near here last year, killing her! Weird one, huh?Amazing, because he was questioned and let go. Guess what? They arrested him last week. Waited until they had a solid case, I think. Do be watchful.

Rather worrying of course ,but I suppose it is because it is near. It must be terrible for those who live where this happens frequently.

It seems like the towns where nothing ever happens find themselves having the bad somethings happening. Crime has become a major problem in our nation.
