Re: adnohr

adnohr I delicately did not explain further into the reason behind my decision. The path to Paradise is sometimes sensually foreboding.

I laughed too when reading the end of the poem. Then I read FSI's comment and saw it in another light. Now I'm wondering if a little bravery would have made it a happier ending? I do hope the lady finally managed to get her boiler fixed!

Re: Pat

Well it has been raining almost continuously so it has not been really cold. No it would have been a brave man to call opposite the Dragon.

My grandmother's phone number used to be similar to a cable company's. She used to get a lot of calls all the time.

The isolation felt at the end of your poem really strikes me. The pain of isolation is very real.

oh dear your poetry makes me laugh, so much about a young man trying to step out with a young lady but finding that they all want more than he is willing to give..

The "ironically" caught my eye right away, and then I read the

paragraph and decided no other word would fit the situation. I could laugh about it as long as I was certain your own toes and nose are warm in the faltering of your own heat source. Can't go down that road?  Perfect ending.
