Re: Re: GoldenMean,

...And this brings us back to thought-forms.

Whatever they are up to, whatever thought-form they are feeding, ie, whatever game they are playing, we don't all have to join in, or feed it. We don't have to believe it. Whatever faction of Oneness you are referring to, I'm not sure, but there are plenty out in the world who are trying to strengthen their own 'reality' by getting everyone else in the world to feed it, to act as if it's actual real.

Meanwhile, the 'reality' I feed is the one that I've described in this blog, the one that makes sense to me, that echoes the 'God of my own heart.' This is the one that thinks it is just rude not to respect another person's right to choose or even create a reality without interference.

But you are talking about when a though-form is manifested in the physical realm of realities...  I will be posting on this, next.

Re: Ciel

Thanks for that outline. I am familiar with the Buddhist and Hindu concepts, and also with the general idea that we are here to learn and make progress in moral and spiritual ways. But the faction of Oneness I am posting about now, takes that to such an extreme, it is quite alarming (to me, anyway). I wonder what different game they are up to. They seem to want to make the learning grounds (the universe) to just disappear. Thanks again!

Re: GoldenMean,

That perception that life is a dream, an illusion, is a popular revival in the New Age of a notion that has been around for a very long time. It is the basis of Buddhist belief, and even older Hindu belief, that this world is not as significant as our existance in another reality or plane. a dream... not a bad dream, necessarily.

There is another take on this concept, too: That the entire universe of our experiencing is a hologram, another way of saying it is illusion, and we are fooled by it into thinking it's real.

But the point is not a big cosmic prank, though I suspect there is a great Sense of Humor not unwilling to confront us with our many absurdities of belief and behavior.

In my view, as you may have read in some of my other posts, that this reality is here for us, as evolving souls, to experience and learn from all the events and circumstances we create or find here. We 'forget' our larger selves while in this school, for the sake of our learning.

Furthermore, we are here specifically to learn to make choices. Hence, a world of dichontomies for our classroom: where dichotomy doesn't naturally exist--as in day and night--we create it--as in white vs non-white skin. So much is learned, of necessity, in learning how to choose.

I hope this is useful to you.

Ciel

You start off this post with  "In the world of dreams".  I am not sure what dreams are, but I have at least one that I can remember every night.  I am, at the same time, a participant in the dream, a watcher of the dream, and a critic of the dream.  These dreams can be positive or negative.  If the story in the dream gets to a point where it is no longer fun or positive, but is putting me in a bad or dangerous situation,  I say to myself, in the dream,  THIS IS BS,  and I wake up.  I have learned that, if I don't do that, the dream just upsets me more, and never reaches a point of resolution. So then I wake up later, even more upset.  So I have learned to wake up sooner, stay awake for about 20 minutes to reset my dream generator, and go back to sleep,  rid of the pesky dream.

Aside from that, I now have a post that chronicles a New Age movement, which claims that the entire Universe is a bad dream,  including us, our daily lives, everything we perceive, before or after death, in or out of our bodies.  I would be pleased and honored if you would let me know what you think about that.  Cheers
