My mother always did that around our porch with morning glories and my MIL always did it with a vine I never did learn the name of. It grew tiny potato things about an inch long which she always picked and planted again the next year.

I hope you have plenty of water, the flow here is becoming weak at least there is supposed to be plenty in storage as we had a wet winter. I have two rows of sweet peas but the stalks are so short I suppose the flowers develope in the heat before the stalk gets a chance to grow.

What an inviting yard you must have. I love the idea of a string wall
full of flowering vines. Mother had a square frame which she strung and propped up in our garden on which to grow peas, especially sweet peas.
